The starting point of our two-month trip through Brazil is Rio de Janeiro! The city is a large metropolis. Many of Brazil’s top sights are located in and around this metropolis. We will visit Cristo Redentor, Sugarloaf Mountain, the historic tramway of Santa Teresa, the Escadaria Selarón, the Botanical Garden and the neighborhoods of Botafogo, Copacabana and Ipanema. In this video we show you all top sights of Rio de Janeiro.

I hope you enjoyed the video about all top sights of Rio de Janeiro. For us this was the ideal place to start our trip through Brazil. From Rio de Janeiro we take the bus to the coastal town of Cabo Frio. This town is also called the Caribbean of Brazil. After Cabo Frio, we head on to Macae, Recife, Fortaleza, the beautiful and remote island Fernando de Noronha, Jericoacoara, Lençois Maranhenses, the deep jungle of the Amazon and the beautiful area of Bonito.

We used many different modes of transport in Brazil. We took a night bus several times, but we also often took a long-distance bus during the day. To get to the island of Fernando de Noronha we took a plane. The island is remote in the Atlantic Ocean. We also took a plane to Manaus. This was the starting point of our multi-day jungle tour in the Amazon. Manaus is very remote from the rest of the country. After our jungle tour we took the plane to Campo Grande. From here you can take a minibus to the tourist town of Bonito. Bonito now also has a small airport itself. Unfortunately you cannot fly to this from all places in Brazil.
