Saint Martin

Saint Martin (or in Dutch: Sint Maarten) is an island in the Caribbean Sea, which belongs to the Lesser Antilles.
Saint Martin is divided into a Dutch and a French part. The Dutch part is the southern part of the island. The entire island is 34 square kilometers and has about 44,000 inhabitants. About 60% of the island belongs to France, but the Dutch part is more densely populated.
The main language is English, because the population is largely descended from English-speaking slaves.
