Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia. It borders Singapore, Thailand, Brunei and Indonesia. The country consists of two parts separated by the South China Sea. West Malaysia, or Malacca, is the peninsula where 85% of the population lives. The capital Kuala Lumpur is located in Malacca.
The other part of the country is the northernmost part of the island of Borneo. This island is divided between Indonesia and Malaysia. The independent state of Brunei is also located on Borneo.
If you want to visit tropical rainforest, Borneo is the destination for you. The island is home to the oldest rainforests in the world. You can also spot a lot of wildlife and visit the orangutan.
